Bali Golf & Country Club

Bali Golf & Country Club is located at the southern tip of the resort area of Nusa Dua and is minutes away from many of Bali’s 5-star hotels. A Robin Nelson and Rodney Wright designed Hawaiian-styled golf course, Bali Golf & Country Club opened in 1991 and soon after hosted the 1994 Asian Dunhill Masters where Nick Faldo shot the course record 63. In 1997 the Bali golf club was voted one of Asia's top 5 golf courses by Fortune Magazine.

Three distinct areas have been used to create Bali Golf & Country Club. The first nine holes play up through hillside terrain with lush tropical vegetation where you have spectacular views of Indian Ocean and the Nusa Dua area. Small hand-built stone walls have been incorporated into the golf course design to terrace the sides of fairways and tees in order to emulate the rice field terraces of the Bali countryside.

Holes 10 through 16 at the Bali Golf & Country Club play through massive 100 feet tall coconut trees, lakes and multi-colored flora. The final two holes play over sand dune holes along Nusa Dua beach before returning to the clubhouse. The par 72 course measures 6871 yards from the championship tees; although shorter tees ensure playability for all Bali golfers. Expert grounds keeping staff and superb maintenance ensure year round championship playing conditions.

The longest hole is the 580 yard par-5 7th. Watch out for some unusual terraced landscaping hazards that might just inspire a kind of longing for a good old-fashioned bunker. The 17th and 18th holes are golf course signature holes. The 17th hole plays out to the beautiful blue Indian Ocean and usually into a cool ocean breeze. The 18th hole plays from the beach back to the clubhouse alongside a 16-acre lake. On a clear day you can even see the Gunung Agung Volcano rising in the distance.

The Bali Golf & Country Club has an elegant clubhouse and restaurant with spectacular views of the golf course and the Indian Ocean. There is a grass driving range with chipping and putting greens to warm-up at before your round.
Golf carts are compulsory and one caddy is provided with each cart. The varied natural setting of Bali Golf & Country Club provides Bali golfers with a unique and memorable golfing experience.
